Afonso Henriques Moreira Santos

He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (1978), a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (1978), a postdoctoral degree at the International Center de la Recherche sur l ́Environnement et le Développement-CIRED, from Ecole Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales-EHESS, Paris, France (1990-1991) and Free Teaching by the University of São Paulo (2013). He was Director of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), 1997-2000, National Secretary of Energy of the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy), 2000-2001, President of the Brazilian Society of Energy Planning, 2004-2006, and Director General of DME Energética, 2007-2009. He is a Counselor to the Brazilian Institute of Energy Law. Retired full professor at the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI), acts mainly on the following topics: energy efficiency, cogeneration, renewable energy, notably small hydroelectric plants, energy planning (policy, planning, and regulation), natural resources, with emphasis on water resources (planning and granting).

Carlos Eduardo Teixeira

Graduated in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Electronics from the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI) in 2013. He was a fellow of the Tutorial Education Program (PET) of Electrical Engineering and Brafitec fellow, studying at the "École Nationale d'Ingénieurs du Val de Loire" (ENIVL), the option "Systèmes Automatisés, Informatique Industrielle et Instrumentation". In 2015, he obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá. In 2019, he obtained the title of Doctor also by the Federal University of Itajubá. He is currently a researcher/developer at the Gnarus Institute.

Cláudio Ferreira

Claudio Ferreira holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal School of Engineering of Itajubá (1977), a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Brasília (1983), and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (1998). In addition to this training, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Federal University of Itajubá (2010) and a specialization in Mathematics, from the University Center of Brasilia - CEUB (1987). In 1978, he was hired by Themag Engenharia, where he participated in the main national projects of electrical infrastructure, among them: studies of the entry into operation of the static compensator in the 230 kV substation of CHESF, studies for the Northeast-Southeast Interconnection, studies of the North-Southeast Interconnection in EHV (1050 kV), studies of the Tucuruí Transmission System, among others. In 1991, he joined the Federal School of Engineering of Itajubá, in the Department of Mathematics and Computing, teaching the discipline Calculus II, which involved multiple series, integrals, and vector calculus. In 1993, he joined the Department of Electrotechnics of the same institution, where he has taught disciplines in graduation (General Electrotechnical I, Analysis of Electrical Systems II and Dynamics and Generation Control) and in graduate studies (Analysis of Power Systems and Oriented Projects). In 1992, he joined as a researcher at the Research and Advisory Industry Foundation (FUPAI), working on consulting projects of the companies of the Eletrobrás group, such as Furnas and Cepel, in projects such as the Transmission of Electricity of the Amazon, and teaching several specialization courses in the area of Electrical Power Systems. Also, in 1992, he joined as a professor of the Specialization Course of Electrical Systems (CESE-ELETROBRÁS). Between 1999 and 2000, he was Advisor to the Board of Directors of the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) in its implementation phase, where it can develop inspection procedures, analysis of the tariff methodology, and analysis of blackouts that occurred in the system during this period. In 2003, he was a consultant to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the Energy Sector Restructuring Support Project. In 2005, he released the book of his own "Linear Networks in Electrical Power Systems," by Editora Canal Energia. Between 2008 and 2014, he was the Coordinator of the Coordination of the Systems Engineering Group(GESIs). In 2013, he assumed the position of Deputy Director of the Institute of Electrical Systems and Energy (ISEE), and in 2015, he became director of this Institute, a position held until 2019, when he retired as Full Professor. As Director of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Energy, he is responsible for the traditional electrical engineering course of the University of Itajubá and the well-known specialization courses CESE-Eletrobras, CEPSE, and CEMAN.

Cláudio Inácio de Almeida Costa

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (2017), master's degree (1997) and graduated (1995) also in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá. He has experience in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on Electrical Power Systems, working mainly on the following topics: control and operation, load forecasting, intelligent systems (Big Data, Random Forest, Fuzzy Logic, Expert System, Neural Network, Paraconsistent Logic). He also has experience in software development, consulting, and R&D projects.

Erik Leandro Bonaldi

He holds a bachelor's degree, master's, and a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá in 1999, 2002, and 2006, respectively. He was an engineer at Delphi Automotive Systems. He is currently managing partner - PS Solutions Industry, Commerce, Representations, and Consulting LTDA, directly commanding the largest national factory of power capacitor casings and the manufacture of sensors, intelligent devices, and communication systems for predictive maintenance of induction engines, transformers, and generators. He has participated in dozens of ANEEL R&D projects, often occupying the position of Coordinator. It has developed sensors, with industrial characteristics, for various types of applications. Its sensors and devices are spread throughout Brazil, in companies such as Petrobras, CSN, Vale, Transpetro, Usiminas, Sabesp, among others. Recently, his company won the Outstanding Company award at FIEMG, inaugurating the Predictive Maintenance area.

Fábio Alessandro Guerra

He holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUC-PR 2003). Master 's (03/2006) and Ph.D. (12/2012) in Production engineering and systems from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUC-PR). He has specific experience in Business intelligence; Energy; Development of methodologies and tools of organizational management; Production engineering and systems; Execution and management of Research and Development projects; Computer Engineering; Computational intelligence; Knowledge Engineering; Project management; and Technological consultancies.

Member of the Itajubense Academy of Letters, occupying Chair No. 28, since 1996. He is a Fellow of IEEE for his contribution in the area of Intelligent Systems applied to the problems of Electrical Power Systems.

Jamil Haddad

He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (1982), a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (1989), and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1993). He is currently a researcher at the Gnarus Institute. He was a full professor at the Federal University of Itajubá (1983-2019). He has experience in electrical engineering, working mainly on the following topics: energy conservation, legislation, energy efficiency, and energy planning. He is currently Vice President of the Brazilian Society of Energy Planning ( SBPE). He was the creator, builder, and coordinator of the Center of Excellence in Energy Efficiency - EXCEN of UNIFEI.

Levy Ely de Lacerda de Oliveira

He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (1999), a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (2002), and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (2006). He is currently director of R&D - PS Soluções Ind, Com, Rep. and Consultoria Ltda. Has eight years' experience in the development of electronic systems (hardware, firmware, and software) for monitoring electrical machines by Electrical Signature Analysis. Its areas of interest are monitoring of electrical machines, electrical machines, data acquisition systems, digital signal processing, electronics, and microcontrollers.

Luiz Eduardo Borges da Silva

He received the B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Itajuba Federal University (UNIFEI), Itajuba, Brazil, in 1977 and 1982, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 1988. In 1998, he was a Visiting Professor with The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering, UNIFEI. His research focuses on power electronics, electronic power systems, power converters, and applications of adaptive and intelligent control in industrial problems. He has conceptualized and supervised the project as a whole. He is a IEEE Senior Member.

He was An Engineer and Researcher at the Institute of Technology of Paraná, Journal Reviewer of Computers in Industry and IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics. He has experience in Computer Science, with an emphasis on Intelligent Computing Systems.
